We have a colleague and a friend in need. PLEASE HELP, any donation as small as it is welcome!
On Sunday, our dear friend freelance photojournalist Wil Riera was admitted into a hospital in Venezuela. He has undergone two emergency brain surgeries to correct a congenital disorder which has caused him to a have a brain haemorrhage.
He is currently in a medical induced coma and the prognosis is uncertain. Funds are urgently needed to cover medical expenses and aftercare.
Wil's home, Venezuela is in an economic crisis with medical shortages and the world's highest inflation rate causing its currency to be worthless. Due to this, the majority of Wil's medical expenses and treatments have to be made upfront in US dollars.
Wil is the sole caretaker for his family.
